The Rockledge Model Railroad Museum invites you to explore the rich history of railroads through our intricate model displays and interactive exhibits. Whether you’re a seasoned railroading enthusiast or new to the world of model trains, our museum offers something for everyone—families, history buffs, model railroaders, and anyone interested in learning about the vital role railroads played in shaping Pennsylvania’s history.
What to Expect on Your Visit
When you visit our museum, you’ll experience a vibrant and hands-on collection of model trains, including our HO-scale model railroad that features a detailed recreation of the Pennsylvania and Reading railroads in the 1950s. With over 900 feet of track and a 3,000 sq. ft. exhibit space, there’s plenty to see and explore.
- Interactive Model Train Displays: Watch our trains in motion as they travel through carefully crafted miniature towns and landscapes, inspired by real-life locales in Pennsylvania.
- Learn the History of Pennsylvania Railroads: Discover how the railroads of Pennsylvania transformed communities and fueled industry.
- Exclusive Hands-On Learning for Members: Our members enjoy hands-on opportunities to engage with the construction, detailing, and maintenance of the model railroad displays. Visitors can observe demonstrations during workshops and special events to learn about track-laying, scenery creation, and more.

We are open to the public during our Open House events held on the second Saturday of each month from 12 PM to 3 PM. These events offer a great opportunity to visit the museum, watch trains in action, and chat with our club members about model railroading and the history of Pennsylvania railroads.

We also welcome visitors outside of our scheduled open houses. Please contact us directly to schedule a private tour or group visit.
Admission and Donations
As a nonprofit museum, we rely on the generosity of visitors to support our exhibits and educational programs. While there is no set admission fee, donations are encouraged. All donations go toward the upkeep of the museum, including building maintenance and exhibit development. We also accept donations of model railroading supplies, including trains, buildings, and scenery.
